Taylor

Taylor Swift, the rarest pop star, is one who managed to move between the genres of country and mainstream culture, and has become an idol of the world of pop. The singer also swept the entire globe in the process. Swift shed the country influences like they were an extra layer of skin and revealed she was among the finest singers/songwriters from her time. Swift could make the moment personal or harness the moment to benefit. The evidence was clear in her early songs, particularly in her neo pay homage to Tim McGraw. On her second release Fearless (2008), Swift showcased a writer getting to understand her. Fearless was successful not only in America, but also with six platinum-certified songs. Its Top Ten songs Love Story & You Belong with Me were the most important reasons. But, it also did very well across the globe. Swift's next album Speak Now, released just two years after the previous one, built on this success. It propelled Swift into the spotlight. Over the next three years, her popularity was growing with the release of three albums -three times - Red (2012), Reputation (2014), and 1989 (2014-2015) during which time she entered a new arena of pop with her skills already well established. She was on top of the charts even when she dropped her own style on her sister albums Folklore and Evermore in the year 2020.
