Harry Edward Styles - also called Harry Styles - is a British musician and songwriter. Harry Styles has been recognized for his compositions to The One Direction band. He is the child of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born February 1st, 1994 at Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where as well as three of his classmates, he formed his own group, White Eskimo. They won the Battle of Bands in 2009 with their amazing performance. Even though he had always expressed an interest in music, despite his passion for it, he wished to pursue a career as a lawyer and physiotherapist. In the past, he was employed part-time in a bakery in the city he lived in and hoped to assist economically at home. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition in which he performed Stevie Wonder's track Is not She Lovely. The group was forced to break up. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles be part of a group called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to join the group in 2010. The group was backed by Cowell, and they performed Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. The group was among the best contenders for the contest. However, they finished third behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Although Harry Styles and his group did not win Cowell agreed to pay 2 million pounds to One Direction to sign with the Syco Record label.
