Kari Wuhrer was born on April 28, 1967. She is an American performer and singer. Wuhrer began her career as a teenager. She is recognized for her role as Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders as well as her role as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), a payroll accountant, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, an officer in the police force and a auto salesman. Her siblings include three. She was a teenage singer who performed in clubs, sneaking away from her family for the sake of performing. She studied acting from the age of 13 at the Wooster School. Later, she studied the art of drama at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan College, Columbia University, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts with famed teacher Uta Hagen.Kari Samantha Wuhrer was an American model, actress and singer. Her birthplace was in Brookfield Connecticut on the 28th of April her birthplace, she was raised there. Kari is the daughter of a German-American father as well as a mother from Germany. Kari is the youngest of three kids. In her teens was a nightclub singer, she would sing while slipping out to perform. When she was 13 years young, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School. She then began her studies in drama at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with renowned teacher Uta Hagen. Kari began her journey into acting at 13, and she got her big break in 1987 on MTV Remote Control.
