Taylor Alison Swift was born on December 13, 1989. Her discography is diverse and her songwriting, which frequently draws inspiration from her personal life is extensively covered by the media. Swift was raised in West Reading, Pennsylvania. She moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 14 to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter. The skepticism of the media inspired her album Reputation (2017) and its number-one single "Look What You Did to Me Do".
Swift left Big Machine in 2018, and she signed with Republic Records. In 2019, Swift released Lover (2019), followed closely by Miss Americana (2020), an autobiography of her life. Swift's 2020 albums Folklore (2019) and Evermore (2020) were her first ventures into alternative rock and indie music. "Cardigan" was an album that ranked in the top ten, and "Willow" was an album that ranked in the Top 100. Swift began rerecording six of her original albums after a dispute over their creators. In 2021, she released two albums: Fearless (Taylor’s) and Red. "All Too Well (10 minute version)" was the longest song to reach the top of the Hot 100. The album she released in 2022, Midnights along with its single "Anti-Hero" have set new all-time streaming music records. Swift has directed music videos as well films like All Too Well The Short Film (2021), as well as playing roles in many other projects. Swift is among the most popular musicians ever selling over 200 million albums worldwide. Swift is the most streamed artist on Spotify. The five albums she has released have had over 1 million copies sold across the US.
